Our first 16 years

2007

QUALITANCE WAS BORN

Ioan and Radu started the business as an “Innovation Lab” in Radu’s office at the Faculty of Cybernetics.

2008

FIRST BIG PROJECTS

Began delivering software testing services for Adobe, IBM Germany, and Daimler.

2009

DELIVERY FRAMEWORK

Structured our services: testing, development, system administration, application support, and maintenance.

2010

PARTNERING WITH IBM

Became IBM Business Partner, IBM Education Partner, and IBM Core Supplier.

2011

WINNING MORE CLIENTS

Created and delivered training programs in web security for Hewlett-Packard and NN. Started new projects with Optaros, Romsys, and IBM using the latest technologies.

2012

NEW TECHNOLOGIES

Adopted Groovy & Grails, iOS, Bloomberg SDK, Node.js, MongoDB, Hadoop - which at the time were the next-gen technologies.

2013

FIRST US CLIENTS

Started working with MSD, ING Insurance & US- based companies MyTime, Gainfully and concept3D.

2014

SILICON VALLEY CALLING

Launched our first office in Silicon Valley and moved to a new Bucharest HQ office. Started a series of strategic projects with great impact, and gained Deutsche Telekom as a client.

2015

WELCOME, TOM CHI!

Rapid prototyping became our primary approach. Google[x] co-founder Tom Chi joined our advisory board.

2016

INNOVATION TIME

Joined forces with LaunchPodium, and welcomed Mike Parsons as our Chief of Innovation. Our first innovation projects for IKEA & Virgin Group were a success!

2017

FROM 2 TO 200

Over a decade, we grew from a team of 2 people to 200!

2018

EMBRACING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Started using AI & Machine Learning in more projects - eSports ReadyUp platform was one of them. Launched Future Horizons, a new content platform around emerging tech.

2019

GOING BIGGER AND BIGGER

Expanded our team in Australia and opened new subsidiaries in New York & London. Started building our own technology plaforms and launched a pioneering digital mortgage solution for BCR Erste.

Mike is the Chairman of the Advisory Board and Director of QUALITANCE Australia. Previously, he has run innovation projects in Silicon Valley for brands such as Wells Fargo, Nike, and Virgin.

Tom helped co-found Google[x] where he led the development of Google Glass and the user experience for many other fascinating projects, including Google Cars and Project Loon.

Venture Partner at 500 Start-ups, Robert has been CEO of multiple VC funded software start-ups in Silicon Valley and held leadership positions in products, marketing, and operations in 5 companies.

Maria has been leading our technology outsourcing division for nearly 10 years. She has helped forge extremely valuable partnerships with market leaders such as IBM and Sparkware.

Gabriel is our fiscal consultant and also Associate Professor at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, teaching future economics experts for over 20 years.

QUALITANCE signs purchase agreement with ALTEN Group

We are excited to share with you that we have signed an acquisition agreement with ALTEN, according to which the international technology and innovation consulting and services group, operating in 30 countries, has committed to acquire QUALITANCE. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year under the condition that the requirements of the Romanian Competition Authority are entirely met. As a result of the transaction, ALTEN Group is expecting to reinforce its presence in Romania as well as to increase its capabilities in serving clients across Central and Eastern Europe.
